My realisation of my lack of really seeing the world

One of my colleagues sent me a link today to World66 – or more specifically, a link that allows you to select each and every country you have visited.

Yes thats right, a depressing, miserable 8 countries – 3%!!!

Coming from a person who declares to love travel (and since leaving Guernsey I’ve prided myself on this personal goal) this is pretty dire..

Ok I’m not doing too bad I suppose, since April 2008 I have visited Thailand, Belgium, Gibraltar & Morocco (not that i’ll set foot in that last one for a little while again!) – also on my home turf since moving to London [Leeds, Edinburgh, Southampton, Cambridge, St Albans].

So i’ve invested in a magical piece of plastic that gives me a third off British rail fares to remedy my local side – and i’m specifically choosing holidays that take me to pastures new.

Who would think a small URL could alter a life ambition of mine so drastically!
